BYK-LP R 24786

BYK-LP R 24786 is a rheological additive designed to enhance thixotropic properties in solid thixotropes, such as hydrophilic fumed silicas or mixed mineral thixotropic like GARAMITE. Suitable for use in acrylics, alkyds, silane-terminated polymers, and two-component polyurethane systems, it is added to the resin component to prevent sagging in thick layers. In two-component epoxy systems, BYK-LP R 24786 is incorporated into the aminic hardener, where it reinforces the thixotropic network upon mixing with the resin, resulting in high, sag-resistant film thickness with excellent application properties.
