BYK-220 S

BYK 220 S is a wetting and dispersing additive that improves the dispersion of conventional fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide. It reduces the viscosity of filled resins enabling increased filler content with significantly reduced settling during storage and processing. BYK 220 S stabilizes pigments and contains a polysiloxane copolymer to reduce floating and flooding, preventing Bénard cells and improving surface properties. It is recommended for unsaturated polyester resins, acrylic, polyurethane and epoxy resins. BYK 220 S provides controlled flocculation of pigments creating networks to prevent floating, settling and sagging. It increases gloss and reduces millbase viscosity.
