DISPERBYK-142

DISPERBYK-142 is a high molecular weight wetting and dispersing additive suitable for stabilizing pigments in solvent-borne coatings and pigment concentrates. Particularly suitable for epoxy resins. As a result of steric stabilization by DISPERBYK-142, pigments are deflocculated into small particle sizes, leading to improved color strength, higher gloss and transparency with transparent pigments, increased hiding power with opaque pigments. Viscosity is also reduced, improving leveling properties and allowing for higher pigment loading. DISPERBYK-142 is highly compatible with standard coating binders and recommended for use in coatings and printing inks. For the advanced materials industry, DISPERBYK-142 allows formulating coatings with optimized optical properties, higher pigment content and better flow characteristics when used to disperse pigments in solvent-borne resin systems like epoxy.
