DISPERBYK-162

DISPERBYK 162 is a high performance wetting and dispersing additive suitable for stabilizing pigments, especially carbon blacks and organic pigments. DISPERBYK 162 provides equal electrical charge to pigment particles through pigment affinic groups. This leads to repulsion and steric stabilization, preventing co-flocculation and resulting in improved color strength, transparency and hiding power. As a result, DISPERBYK 162 increases gloss and reduces viscosity of millbases. DISPERBYK 162 is primarily used in industrial coatings and pigment concentrates. When used for pigment stabilization in Advanced Materials, DISPERBYK 162 helps deliver uniform pigment distribution and dispersion.
