BYK-A 525

BYK A 525 is a polyether-modified methylalykl polysiloxane copolymer solution that acts as a defoamer and air release agent. BYK A 525 prevents foam and bubble formation during manufacturing and application. It demonstrates excellent air release characteristics in mineral-filled systems. BYK A 525 additionally improves wetting of quartz and glass fibers, reducing surface tension and improving leveling which benefits coating applications requiring a smooth finish. Especially suitable for systems on polyurethane and epoxy resin basis, BYK A 525 at recommended levels of 0.1-0.5% provides anti-foaming and easier processing of coatings and sealants.
