BYK-220 SN

BYK 220 SN is a wetting and dispersing additive that improves the dispersion of conventional fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide. It reduces the viscosity of filled resins, enabling increased filler content. Settling of filler is also significantly reduced during storage and processing. BYK 220 SN stabilizes pigments and contains a small quantity of polysiloxane copolymer to reduce flooding and floating, preventing the formation of Bénard cells and improving surface properties. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring pigment stabilization without the need for additional silicone or wetting additives. BYK 220 SN delivers targeted, controlled flocculation of pigments to prevent issues like flooding, floating, settling and sagging. This provides benefits such as increased gloss and reduced millbase viscosity.
